This is a running audio stream set to a scanner on the Berkeley police radio frequencies. If you hear 'clicking' that's the scanner switching between channels. Sometimes the channel is busy, and sometimes it's dead. If you see the 'time' indicator in Realplayer go up, but don't hear anything, it's probably working. Wait awhile.

This is run from an MP3 audio stream. And you'll probably have the best results if you set Realplayer or an MP3 player like WinAmp to play mp3 music. Windows Media Player seems to be broken when streaming MP3 data. If Windows Media Player comes up and does not work when you click on the link to the left, then perform the following steps.

Launch Realplayer directly and select the 'Preferences' option under the 'View' menu. Click on the 'Upgrade' tab, and then select 'Re-associate.' If you still have trouble, post a message on the Berkeleybarb.com message board. 'Re-associate' is good to do anyway, since Windows Media player seems to take over playing of MP3 playlists, even though it doesn't seem to be able to actually play them.
