The Quest Cruise Missile

This is a nice cheap little kit retailing for $11.00, found just about anywhere. I had to harden this kit a little bit to withstand AeroTech D-12-7 moters, but the alterations were minor. I just replaced the balsa with 1\8 inch plywood, and away we go. The rocket is about 1 foot long, and comes with an incredible decal sheet for the full Navy look. My research shows that many Cruise Missiles are not finished so spectacularly, so I went with a very generic white and red. The D-12-7 motor is just about perfect here, with kick-as flights to about 1800 feet. I'm currently building a somewhat upscale scratch version, with 29mm motor mount and through-the-wall (tail shroud) construction.
